November is a Good Time to Read
The to read list keeps gets longer.... The club really like Divergent, though many of us agreed that it didn't sound as good as it really is. I keep wondering what group people would be in--Dauntless, Candor, Erudite, Amity or Abnegation? There are appealing aspects to all of those qualities. We have chosen to read two books for December: The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Both look interesting. We will try putting books on Nooks (hey, that rhymes!) this time around if we can figure out how to do it.

Have a Wonderful Summer!
Best of luck and happy reading to our departing seniors! Missy will continue to re-read the Harry Potter series, Patricia will have piles of books that she is reading all at once and the rest of us will get ideas of what to read from friends, family, reviews, blogs... I am currently reading Heart of a Samurai by Margi Preus in preparation for my National Board for Professional Teaching exams in June. It is a great read so far! What are you reading? How do you find books to read?

May Book Choices
We had good discussions about our previous reads, Nothing, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson. Mr. Ames has a great way of describing books so that we want to read them! He enjoyed the Will Grayson book--ask him about it! The next books have been selected.... We are reading the sequel to If I Stay by Gayle Forman, Where She Went. Those who have not read the first book will read that. This story is compelling and highly readable. The late lunch group is reading The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. It is the first book in a thrilling series. Those who have started the series can continue to read whatever book they are on. We can handle this winter in Spring weather with a good book!

Lot O' Reading Going On
We met in February to talk about what we have all been reading. Some of us are reading challenging books like Anna Karenina or Cat's Cradle. We have decided to read: Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Greene and David Levithan and Nothing by Janne Teller, both award winners. Remember to look for the audio book and eBook versions in OverDrive. Happy Reading!! Let us know what you think....
